We are seeking a highly motivated candidate for the position of Engineering Lead with proven knowledge and implementation experience in digital transformation areas such as Core Banking Transformation, application tuning and DevOps within Information Technology Department under Systems Office for Asia.
The successful candidate will be part of a growing dynamic regional team providing business solutions for digital transformation projects. You will be driving the Bank’s initiatives in Core Banking technology, refining IT project delivery practices, while adhering to the Bank policy and procedures to enhance software development and IT operations best practices in partnership with stakeholders from IT and Business functions.
As a key member of the team, he/she will also support other functions across strategy, process design, infrastructure & enterprise architecture, IT security and risk governance.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead Core Banking (Temenos T24 transact) program/project and initiatives in Asia System Office (ASO). Plan and oversee T24 developments and identification of systems requirements.
- Manage the gathering and assessing of business requirements to be translated into technical design documents for T24. Recommend appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems.
- Provide guidance and hands-on support, including but not limited to, the following activities
- Provide application solutioning expertise and advice to team throughout systems implementation stages and during incident investigation.
- Manage the open issues and resolve them in a timely and efficient manner. (Root cause analysis, temporary workaround, permanent fix)
- Draft project plans and manage the project timeline especially for technical phases.
- Review T24 platform build quality, underlying development and testing processes and practices, system performance; lead improvement plan accordingly.
- Review over system stability and resiliency based on insights on past incidents and problems; drive improvement plan accordingly.
- Review system interface design for optimal control and proper resiliency for downstream sub-systems; drive improvement plan accordingly.
- Review system exception handling and enhance observability for early fault detection. Develop improvement initiatives to handle failure scenarios.
- Review and ensure the Bank’s policy and procedure are adhered, follow up with respective parties to ensure compliance and governance.
- Oversee the preparation of communications and make presentations to stakeholders on opportunities and constraints of processes and systems.
- Deal with senior stakeholders (Inc. external vendors) and drive the technical issue management meeting
Job Requirements:
- Min 15 years of experience in software development, application support, especially in the area of Core banking with project management and stakeholder management, or experience in regional platform transformation such as payment hub.
- Proven experience in Core Banking with T24 Technical and Functional Area and Development, or equivalent experience in Tier 1 critical transaction processing platform such as payment hub, eBanking chanel.
- Demonstrated experience in Project Life Cycle from inception, analysis, development, testing and implementation with SDLC methodologies and Agile experience.
- Strong stakeholder management experience
- Strong team management experience of large team size, with distributed team locations, especially offshore development centre (build and test).
- Possesses experience and acts as a Subject Matter Expert with good knowledge in the following:
- Experience in core banking domain, preferably T24 Technical and Functional Area and Development experience
- Experience in core banking services to support cash management and payment domains, such as open API, 24/7 instant payment, cash pooling, client reporting (intraday/end-of-day statement), among others.
- Be analytical and applies critical thinking toward examining systems and design requirements, open-minded and innovative in exploring new and alternative solutions to optimize systems, arriving at sound decisions and solutions.
- Deep dive, problem solving, RCA and systemic thinking to reach to the cause of issues
- A strong leader who is able to communicate his/her ideas persuasively and sustain positive relationships with team members and other stakeholders.
