Sony Bend Studio, the creator of Days Gone, Uncharted: Golden Abyss, and the Syphon Filter series, is looking for a collaborative and experienced Senior Producer to join our team in crafting our next high-profile title.
In this role, you will partner with creative leads and studio directors to develop, maintain, and execute project plans for your teams. The ideal candidate brings a balance of strong project management skills, clear communication, and a shared enthusiasm for creating great games. Help us build our next exciting project!
Key Responsibilities
- Roadmap & Strategy: Drive the production roadmap for key areas of the game, in partnership with discipline leads and project leadership, shaping the delivery strategy for multiple cross-discipline teams.
- Planning & Alignment: Partner with discipline leads and project leadership to translate creative and technical goals into achievable plans, managing milestone definitions, staffing needs, and risk forecasting.
- Day-to-Day Operations: Drive day-to-day production decisions for your area, coordinate project-wide dependencies, and handle scope and prioritization tradeoffs.
- Resource Management: Manage capacity planning, team sequencing, and resource needs, identifying staffing gaps and outsourcing opportunities in partnership with leadership.
- Planning Facilitation: Drive sprint, milestone, and roadmap planning for your teams - ensuring goals are clear, and work is appropriately estimated. Facilitate key ceremonies such as standups, retrospectives, and bug triages.
- Reporting & Visibility: Provide leadership with clear, timely visibility into schedules, scope, quality, and dependency risks.
- Continuous Improvement: Shape scalable production frameworks, reporting standards, and planning practices to support team predictability and well-being.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to other producers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and professional growth.
What We Are Looking For
- Shipped Game Experience: Professional experience driving game features or major project areas through full production cycles on large, cross-discipline teams.
- Production Expertise: Solid understanding of game development pipelines and project management methodologies (such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall).
- Tool Proficiency: Proficiency utilizing Jira (or similar project management tools) for backlog management, tracking, and reporting.
- Collaborative Leadership: Proven ability to build consensus and alignment among creative, technical, and production stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong capability in capacity planning, dependency tracking, and proactive risk mitigation.
Nice to Have
- Experience working on AAA, live service, or multiplayer titles.
- Experience collaborating with external development, co-development, or outsourcing partners.
- Experience working with distributed or hybrid/remote teams.
