Responsibilities
LMI is seeking a skilled VTC/AV Engineer to design, install, and maintain video teleconferencing and audio-visual systems supporting a network of technical communications facilities. This individual will ensure reliable, secure collaboration capabilities across multiple locations.
Primary duties include:
- Design, install, configure, and maintain VTC and AV systems across facility locations.
- Troubleshoot VTC/AV connectivity, performance, and integration issues.
- Coordinate with network and facility teams to ensure systems meet security and interoperability requirements.
- Support scheduling, testing, and live operation of VTC/AV systems for meetings and events.
- Maintain equipment inventories, documentation, and maintenance schedules.
- Support operations center AV integration, including NOC/SOC display systems and 24x7 monitoring environment requirements.
Location: This position is based in the Washington, DC metro area, with travel to program locations.
Travel: This position requires approximately 25-50% travel to support activities across multiple program locations.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience designing or supporting VTC/AV systems, including in classified environments.
- Working knowledge of VTC codecs, AV control systems, and related collaboration technologies.
Nice to Have:
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CTS, CTS-D, CTS-I).
- Demonstrated experience leading or supporting large, geographically dispersed teams.
- Experience supporting Special Access Program (SAP) facilities, systems, or environments.
- Familiarity with multi-tier enterprise conference room standardization and design of classified and unclassified AV room configurations.
TS/SCI clearance with SAP eligibility is required for this position. TS/SCI clearance with SAP eligibility is required for this position.
