What you’ll do
The Director, Launch Excellence, International reports to the VP, Head of Commercial Operations, International and serves as a key partner to the International Commercial organization, Core Brand Teams, and Brand Leads. You will lead the planning, coordination, and governance of multiple international product launches, ensuring successful execution across BridgeBio's portfolio. Working cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Marketing, Patient Services, and regional and country teams, you will drive integrated launch plans, align cross-functional activities, anticipate risks and dependencies, and ensure market readiness across priority markets.
This individual brings a strong understanding of the life sciences ecosystem, hands-on industry experience, in rare disease and strong project management skills spanning both structural and content-driven workstreams.
This individual brings commercial acumen, launch leadership, and cross-functional program management with a data-driven approach, using analytics to monitor launch readiness, inform decisions, and drive continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Launch Planning & Governance
- Own the integrated international launch plan for all assets, consolidating cross-functional inputs into a single roadmap aligned with brand strategy, target product profiles, key milestones, and market dependencies
- Lead the international launch governance framework, including Core Brand Team meetings, Launch Brand Meetings, and Country Launch Readiness Reviews (LRRs), ensuring effective agendas, decision-making, and timely escalation
- Monitor launch readiness across Medical, Regulatory, Market Access, Supply Chain, Marketing, Patient Services, and Digital, identifying risks, dependencies, and execution gaps to keep launches on track
- Drive cross-functional alignment by proactively identifying decisions requiring Core Brand Team or affiliate leadership input and ensuring timely resolution
- Define and track launch KPIs and milestones with Core Brand Teams and affiliates, providing clear visibility into progress, risks, and overall launch readiness
Core Brand Team & Cross-Functional Partnership
- Serve as a strategic partner to the Core Brand Team, contributing to brand strategy, target product profiles, and competitive positioning to strengthen decisions before governance
- Develop a strong understanding of the clinical, commercial, and market access landscape across the portfolio, enabling meaningful engagement with cross-functional teams and informed decision-making
- Act as the primary liaison between Global teams and International affiliates, ensuring global strategies are effectively adapted for local market execution
- Partner across Medical Affairs, Market Access, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Marketing, and other functions to align launch activities, resolve cross-functional dependencies, eliminate duplication, and lead initiatives where no clear owner exists
- Collaborate with Commercial Excellence leadership to embed standardized launch frameworks, governance, tools, and best practices across international launches
Country Launch Readiness Reviews (LRRs)
- Run the Launch Readiness Review process with countries — the forum where country-level launch preparation gets tested against reality — leading go/no-go and readiness assessments for priority international markets and identifying gaps and what's still needed to enable a successful launch
- Support affiliates in building country-level launch plans, adapting the International template to local regulatory, pricing/reimbursement, and market dynamics
- Identify capacity and capability gaps at the affiliate level and coordinate resourcing or training support in partnership with Commercial Excellence
Escalation & Continuous Improvement
- Escalate to the leadership as appropriate
- Champion the use of shared tools, templates, and dashboards to plan and track launch progress, enhancing collaboration and agility across the Core Brand Teams and affiliates
Where You'll Work
- This role is based in Zug, Switzerland. No relocation is offered
- Travel (10%) may be required to attend in person meetings
Who You Are
- BA or BS; MBA, PMP, or other advanced degree/certification preferred
- 10+ years of pharmaceutical or biotech experience, including product launch experience in specialty or rare disease and international/EMEA markets.
- Strong understanding of the functions critical to successful product launches, including Market Access, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Patient Services, with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships and influence Brand Leads, Core Brand Team members, and senior international stakeholders without formal authority
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent launches in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Strategic, structured problem solver with a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to apply launch excellence best practices
- Proficiency with project management and reporting tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Power BI/equivalent) and MS Office Suite
