Otis is growing and is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor for our Malaysian market. Your priority is to manage third-party logistics (3PL) warehouse operations, ensuring inventory availability, service excellence, and compliance with operational standards and contractual KPIs.
This role serves as the primary liaison between the warehouse provider, Supply Chain, and Field/Service teams to ensure timely fulfilment of material requirements and effective resolution of operational issues.
Key Responsibilities
1. 3PL Warehouse Management
Manage and oversee warehouse operations performed by the 3PL provider, ensuring compliance with agreed service levels, operational procedures, inventory control requirements, and contractual obligations.
Conduct regular performance reviews, monitor operational KPIs, and drive corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives to address service gaps and improve efficiency.
2. Service & Field Operations Support
Act as the key interface between the warehouse provider and Field/Service teams to ensure timely fulfilment of material requests, critical service orders, and escalation management.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve material shortages, delivery issues, and inventory-related challenges while maintaining high customer service levels.
3. Inventory Management & Control
Monitor inventory availability, replenishment requirements, stock accuracy, and inventory health to minimize stock-outs, excess inventory (E&O), and service disruptions.
Coordinate inventory audits, cycle counts, and discrepancy investigations with the 3PL provider to maintain inventory integrity and compliance.
4. Performance & KPI Management
Track and report warehouse performance against established KPIs and SLAs, including inventory accuracy, order fulfilment, on-time delivery, and service performance.
Analyze operational trends, identify improvement opportunities, and implement action plans to enhance warehouse service quality and operational effectiveness.
5. Stakeholder & Vendor Management
Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, including Service, Field Operations, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Finance teams, to support business objectives.
Manage 3PL providers through regular governance meetings, performance reviews, and escalation management to ensure contractual and operational expectations are achieved.
6. Continuous Improvement & Compliance
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance inventory visibility, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Ensure compliance with company policies, audit requirements, and inventory governance standards while supporting system enhancements and transformation initiatives.
Job Requirements
Education & Experience
Minimum Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, inventory management, or supply chain functions, with experience managing 3PL providers preferred.
Experience supporting service parts, spare parts, or after-sales operations is an added advantage.
Technical Competencies
Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics processes, and performance management through KPIs and SLAs.
Familiarity with ERP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and reporting tools.
Leadership & Soft Skills
Strong stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage operational escalations effectively.
Self-motivated, customer-focused, and capable of managing multiple priorities while working independently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement, operational excellence, and service delivery.
