Job Description Summary
The Sourcing System and Process Leader is responsible for driving and supporting the optimization and continuous improvement of sourcing systems and processes within the organization. This role will lead/support initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve the overall sourcing experience for both internal stakeholders and external suppliers.Job Description
Key Responsibilities (What you will do):
Partner with Senior Sourcing Operations Systems & Processes Leader in the improvement of the Aeroderivative & Generator team processes
Consolidate and communicate demand forecasts from business units and sites
Support to evaluate and enhance existing sourcing systems to ensure they meet internal and cross functional needs.
Support Senior Sourcing Operations Systems & Processes Leader with the implementation and integration of new sourcing technologies and tools.
Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure system compatibility and functionality.
Identify opportunities for process optimization within Aeroderivative & Generator team.
Develop and implement process improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the team performance.
Work closely with procurement teams, business units, and other cross functional teams to understand their needs and pain points.
Facilitate training sessions and provide ongoing support to users of sourcing systems.
Act as a liaison between the procurement department and other functional areas to ensure alignment of systems and processes.
Support cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing sourcing capabilities.
Support project plans, timelines, and resource requirements.
Ensure that sourcing systems and processes comply with relevant regulations and company policies.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with system changes and process improvements.
Support to maintain and develop Long Range Forecast process and tool for the entire team, to project cost, volume, market, and capacity trends of commodity
Support the handoff of negotiated vendor pricing / terms and LTAs to the Procurement and Materials team, co-ordinate price upload process
Support leakage control, ensure negotiated pricing is leveraged, minimize savings leakage, track contract compliance execution
Basic Qualifications (What you will bring):
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering
Experience: Proven experience in strategic global sourcing and/or operational sourcing/purchasing, including active support of system implementations and leading process improvement initiatives, and has a demonstrated ability to operate effectively within a cross-functional, matrixed organization.
Language Skills: Confident communication in both English and Hungarian.
Technical & Software Skills: Possesses solid working knowledge of procurement systems (such as SAP Ariba or Oracle Procurement) and related digital tools, enabling efficient execution, tracking, and optimization of end-to-end sourcing and purchasing processes.
Knowledge & Competencies: Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, combined with practical proficiency in process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma), to identify inefficiencies, develop data-driven solutions, and drive continuous improvement in procurement performance.
Soft Skills: Exhibits excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering clear, constructive dialogue and effective collaboration across diverse teams and organizational levels, while maintaining a high level of ownership, adaptability, and customer-oriented mindset.
