The Quality Manager/Leader must be able to communicate quality information clearly to customers to support the business.This role is critical to the success of our business in an environment of ever-increasing customer expectations regarding product Quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and strengthen quality standards for processes in all aspects related to product manufacturing.
- Identify & implement improvements to the business quality methodology. Accountable for overall quality including influencing Manufacturing, Quality Control, Fab, Raw Material, & Engineering activities that affect the quality of the product.
- Responsible for ensuring those techniques shown to improve Quality (FMEA, SPC, Root Cause Analysis & Change Management processes, etc.) are in place and effective.
- Key Quality stakeholder in the product design/development process, setting quality requirements for new products. Participate in continuous improvement of the processes that govern product development.
- Communicate customer quality requirements/expectations within the site to assure complete and accurate understanding.
- Translate quality objectives for the business into specific objectives for the site. Set up KPIs for measuring performance against the objectives and present those KPIs at internal management meetings.
- People management activities for a small local team, including goal setting & progress monitoring, development planning, coaching, training, budgeting, etc.
- Lead team to:
- Implement appropriate quality controls for specific products - implement specifications, control limits & trend rules in SPC software.
- Review intermediate & product control charts as part of the PCS (Process Control System) process. Investigate trends in product data, determine root causes, & implement corrective or improvement actions.
- Lead Material Review Board meetings for product issues.
- Prepare qualification plan for changes led by the quality team; help design qualification plan for changes owned by other functions.
- Investigate and resolve customer quality and performance complaints
- Respond to customer requests regarding specification improvements and information on product manufacturing processes (control plans, process flow, quality systems, etc).
Requirements:
- Degree in a technical discipline such as Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Materials Science.
- 8+ years’ experience working in the semiconductor or semiconductor materials industry in a technical role (Engineering, R&D, Quality, Fab, etc).
- Thorough understanding of raw material and product chemistry along with analytical and functional characterization methods.
- Demonstrated success resolving technical challenges in a time-critical situation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills both in Mandarin and English
- Strong leadership skills and people/team development skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of Quality management skills such as SPC, FMEA, DOE, Six-sigma and use of statistical software such as JMP.
