Description
As a Project Manager you will be a key member in our PMO team based in the OrthoTech division, who is responsible for computer based surgical planning and guidance systems which support surgeons along their pre-, intra- and post-operative workflows.
You will help to drive towards innovative technologies, and your contribution will have an impact on daily work in hospitals around the world.
What you will do:
• Coordinate cross-functional new product development (NPD) projects for medical devices, including software and hardware components.
• Plan project activities, timelines, resources, and milestones to support successful project execution.
• Facilitate collaboration across Engineering, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Operations, Clinical, Marketing, and other stakeholders.
• Identify project risks and dependencies, monitor progress, and help ensure quality, timeline, and business objectives are achieved.
• Drive continuous improvement of project management processes, tools, and ways of working.
• Partner with global colleagues and external partners to bring innovative medical technologies from concept to market.
What you need:
Required
• Master's degree in Engineering, Medical Technology, Computer Science, Life Sciences, Business, or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience in project coordination, project management, engineering, product development, or a related field.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented mindset.
• Fluent English communication skills.
Preferred
• Experience in medical devices, healthcare, life sciences, or another regulated industry.
• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid project management methodologies.
• Exposure to software, hardware, or new product development (NPD).
• Experience collaborating with international and cross-functional teams.
• Project management certification (e.g. CAPM, Scrum Master) or willingness to pursue one.
Additional information
Thanks to our flexible working hours model, you will have the opportunity to work partially from the home office. A regular presence on site at our location in Freiburg or Berlin should always be given to build sustainable relationships and maintain personal contact with colleagues as well as the departments.
Germany Pay Ranges:
- Freiburg/Stetten 39Std: €5.305 - €8.875 EUR Monthly
