About the team

Listing Product helps make Zillow an effective place for agents to market their listings. We build the products that get agents the best listing media, help them market homes through tools like Showcase, give them analytics to understand how their listings are performing, and connect agents and buyers through home touring with ShowingTime. Working across consumer experiences, real estate data, and industry partnerships, we collaborate with engineering, design, data, business teams, MLS organizations, and brokerages to help agents and buyers connect.

About the role

As a Principal Product Manager on Listing Product, you will set strategy and drive execution for a core part of how agents market listings on Zillow. You will turn complex, cross-functional challenges into simple, trustworthy experiences for agents, brokers, and their clients, while influencing product direction across teams and with external partners.

You Will Get To:

  • Own strategy, roadmap, and execution for a core area of the listing experience.

  • Partner with engineering, design, data, and business teams to deliver fast, accurate, and easy-to-use experiences for agents, brokers, and their clients.

  • Define success metrics, use data to prioritize opportunities, and make a clear case for what to build next.

  • Build and maintain relationships with MLS organizations, brokerages, and other external partners who contribute data and workflows to our platform.

  • Simplify complex workflows across data quality, compliance, and connected systems into reliable customer experiences.

  • Represent your product area with senior leaders and, when appropriate, external partners and customers.

  • Mentor and influence product managers, and help improve how the broader team works.

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.

In California, Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $178,300.00 - $284,700.00 annually. This base pay range is specific to these locations and may not be applicable to other locations. In Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Minnesota, Nevada, Ohio, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Virginia the standard base pay range for this role is $169,300.00 - $270,500.00 annually. The base pay range is specific to these locations and may not be applicable to other locations.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location. Employees in this role will not be paid below the salary threshold for exempt employees in the state where they reside.

Who you are

  • You have 8+ years of product management or equivalent experience, including experience with consumer, marketplace, or data-driven products and external partners or industry participants.

  • You have a track record of leading ambiguous, cross-functional problems from definition through measurable outcomes.

  • You have experience building B2B products.

  • You can navigate technical tradeoffs with engineering partners without needing to write code.

  • You use data to form hypotheses, prioritize effectively, and make decisions with incomplete information.

  • You communicate clearly in writing and can tailor product strategy and progress updates for engineers, executives, customers, and external partners.

  • You are comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote-first environment with autonomy and accountability.

  • Experience in real estate, marketplaces, or partner and data integrations is a plus, but not required.

  • Here at Zillow, we value the experience and perspective of candidates with non-traditional backgrounds. We encourage you to apply if you have transferable skills or related experience.
