The recruitment of a replacement Import Executive is necessary to ensure the continuity of daily import operations and maintain efficient import operations, regulatory compliance, and uninterrupted support for the company's manufacturing activities.

2)Job Description

The Logistics Executive primary function is to manage end to end import operations, ensure customs compliance and timely customs clearance and coordinate with freight forwarders, suppliers, and government authorities. Support business continuity by minimizing shipment delays and resolving logistics issues promptly.

• Coordinate and monitor import shipments (air, sea, and land) from suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
• Prepare, review, and verify import shipping documents, including Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading (B/L), Air Waybill (AWB), and Certificate of Origin (COO).
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and transport providers on shipment status and customs clearance.
• Ensure accurate customs declarations and compliance with Malaysian Customs regulations, including LMW requirements.
• Prepare and verify customs documentation such as K1, K9, permits, and duty/tax exemption applications.
• Monitor shipment schedules and proactively resolve customs clearance or delivery issues.
• Liaise with internal departments (Purchasing, Planning, Warehouse, Production, and Finance) regarding shipment arrivals and documentation.
• Track import shipments and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
• Ensure all import records and supporting documents are properly maintained for audit purposes.
• Verify freight invoices and coordinate with Finance for payment processing.
• Support cost-saving initiatives by optimizing freight arrangements and negotiating with logistics service providers.
• Handle shipment discrepancies, damage claims, and transportation issues with carriers and suppliers.
• Participate in customs audits, LMW license renewals, and continuous process improvement activities.

3)Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics/Supply Chain Management or equivalent qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a shipping or logistics role, preferably within a manufacturing environment
• Extensive knowledge of Import procedure for air, sea and land shipment, freight forwarding, trade & customs compliance
• Knowledge of customs declaration processes (K1, K2, K9) and duty/tax exemption procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to resolve shipment and customs clearance issues.
• Proficient in using relevant software and technology to support shipping and logistics operations
• Ability to work independently and to adapt to changing business requirement and urgent shipment priorities
• Goods communication skill in English
