[What the role is]
You will be part of a team that supports strategic transformation initiatives and policy development involving health-related regulation, including self-regulatory frameworks.You will be working in a dynamic environment that would require the ability to engage several priorities and stakeholder groups at the same time.
[What you will be working on]
Policy Development & Regulatory Frameworks
- Contribute to the development and review of health regulatory policies and frameworks.
- Support the drafting of new legislation and the review or amendment of existing regulatory frameworks.
- Explore and implement innovative regulatory approaches, including the design and evaluation of regulatory sandboxes.
- Develop governance and funding frameworks to support regulatory objectives, including industry self-regulation models where appropriate.
Stakeholder Engagement & Partnership Management
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders across the public, private, and people sectors.
- Engage subject matter experts from Ministry of Health, Health Sciences Authority, other government agencies, industry partners, and patient groups to gather perspectives and drive desired policy outcomes.
- Facilitate consultations and collaboration with stakeholders to support policy development and implementation.
Strategy, Communications & Implementation
- Develop stakeholder engagement and communication strategies to support policy initiatives.
- Coordinate and drive projects across the policy lifecycle, from conceptualisation and planning to implementation and review.
- Translate policy intent into practical implementation plans and work with stakeholders to ensure effective execution.
[What we are looking for]
- About 5-6 years’ experience in policy formulation, implementation, or strategic planning
- Strong analytical, written, and communications skills
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and address diverse stakeholder perspectives with socio-political sensitivity
- A collaborative team player who can also work independently under pressure
- Relevant knowledge or experience in healthcare, health policy, public health, health regulation, or related fields would be an advantage but is not required as it can be learnt on the job

The successful candidate will be offered a 1-year contract (with option for automatic renewal for a further one year) in the first instance.
