Field Service Technician

We are looking for a technician

We are in need of a service technician to conduct services, repairs, commissioning and technical training on mining machines in Africa.

We are now strengthening our organization with Aftermarket Service for our customers. In this position you will be part of our Service Team located in Jetpark, Johannesburg, South Africa.

You will be part of the Normet Africa team that will take care of the aftermarket services, repairs, training and commissioning of Normet products. In this position you will also have the opportunity to participate in improvement on all old and new products, working with our technical support team located in Finland. You will work both independently and in collaboration with the rest of the service team, production and sales departments.

Qualifications and experience

• Grade 12
• Trade certificate
• English literate
• Computer literate
• Microsoft Excel; Word and Power Point literate.
• Three-year Experience on mining (surface and/or) underground machinery.
• Experience on Hydraulics; Auto Electrical and Control Systems.
• Training certification preferable: Facilitation, Assessor or even Moderator.
• A person with underground spraying experience will be advantageous.

• Be willing to take responsibility.
• Be capable of working with people from different cultures.
• Have a valid driver’s license.
• Health fitness certificate to work underground.
• Have a valid passport.
