Description
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Oversee all production activities across multiple shifts to ensure safe, efficient, and timely operations.
- Execute production plans and schedules based on customer demand and sales forecasts.
- Monitor productivity, quality, and operational performance metrics, implementing improvements as needed.
- Coordinate labor, equipment, and materials to maximize production efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Provide direct leadership and supervision for approximately 40 production employees.
- Train, coach, and develop team members to support performance and career growth.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Support hiring efforts, onboarding, and workforce planning, including managing temporary labor through staffing agencies.
- Track and analyze machine operator and overall production performance.
- Maintain accurate production records and communicate results to leadership.
- Partner with Operations leadership to identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Reconcile employee timecards and payroll information each pay period.
- Purchase supplies and materials necessary to support daily operations.
- Maintain accurate operational and personnel records.
- Lead weekly safety meetings and reinforce a safety-first culture throughout the facility.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and established safety procedures.
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions to improve workplace safety.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in manufacturing, business, or operations management preferred.
- 5+ years of manufacturing, production, or operations leadership experience.
- Demonstrated success leading teams in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of production scheduling, performance management, and facility maintenance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and manufacturing reporting systems.
