Description
We are seeking an exceptional, highly accomplished, and performance-driven Retail Sales Manager to lead and accelerate our retail business across the UAE. This is a leadership position for a seasoned FMCG professional with a proven record of delivering outstanding sales growth, expanding market share, and managing high-performing retail sales teams.
Only candidates with extensive UAE retail market experience, exceptional leadership capabilities, and a strong network within the retail industry will be considered.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of proven UAE FMCG Retail Sales experience, with at least 5 years in a Retail Sales Manager role.
- Strong exposure to Modern Trade and General Trade Retail Channels across the UAE.
- Extensive relationships with major retailers including Carrefour, Lulu, Union Coop, Nesto, Safari, Viva, Choithrams, Al Maya, West Zone, Spinneys, Grandiose, and other leading retail chains.
- Proven history of consistently achieving and exceeding sales, distribution, market share, and profitability targets.
- Strong expertise in Key Account Management, Category Management, Trade Marketing, Merchandising, and Retail Operations.
- Demonstrated ability to build, lead, coach, and inspire large sales teams to achieve exceptional performance.
- Strong commercial acumen with expertise in pricing strategy, promotional planning, budgeting, forecasting, negotiations, and P&L management.
- Excellent understanding of retail execution, shelf visibility, planograms, promotional displays, product listings, and inventory management.
- Ability to identify new business opportunities and successfully launch products into the retail market.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to drive strategic business decisions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced, highly competitive FMCG environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP systems, CRM platforms, and sales reporting tools.
- Valid UAE Driving License is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Retail Sales Division to achieve aggressive sales, revenue, distribution, and profitability objectives.
- Develop and implement strategic retail sales plans to maximize market penetration and business growth.
- Build and strengthen long-term partnerships with key retail chains and decision-makers across the UAE.
- Negotiate annual trading agreements, promotional plans, product listings, and commercial terms with major retail customers.
- Drive product visibility, merchandising excellence, and flawless in-store execution across all retail outlets.
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing, consumer trends, and market dynamics to identify growth opportunities.
- Recruit, mentor, develop, and manage a high-performing retail sales team while ensuring accountability for KPIs and business objectives.
- Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, business reviews, and performance reports for senior management.
- Ensure effective execution of company policies, sales strategies, and operational standards across all retail channels.
