About the Opportunity
You will support a community-based mental health and addictions organization providing 24/7 care across residential group homes, treatment programs, and supported living environments. Clients may have complex mental health needs, addictions, and dual diagnoses and require consistent, hands-on support.
Key Responsibilities
- Support clients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, meals, and daily routines
- Assist with medication prompting and monitoring
- Build therapeutic relationships and support individual recovery goals
- Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment
- Respond to crisis situations and provide de-escalation support when required
- Complete documentation and communicate effectively with care teams
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma in DSW, SSW, CYW, Addictions & Mental Health, or a related field
- Experience in mental health, addictions, or residential care preferred
- Valid CPR/First Aid certification
- Vulnerable Sector Check completed within the past year
- TB test completed within the past 6 months
- Valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle preferred
Additional Details
- Pay Rate: $23/hour
- Full-time and part-time contract opportunities
- Start: ASAP
- Anticipated assignment duration: 4–6 weeks, with potential for extension
- 8-hour and 12-hour shifts available
- Days, evenings, and nights
- Accommodation support available for select assignments
- Candidates commuting to or temporarily relocating to the area are welcome
