The Twelfth Judicial Circuit is accepting applications for a Pretrial Services Supervision Unit Supervisor in Sarasota County. Located at 1751 Mound Street, this position provides professional, analytical, and supervisory support for the Sarasota County Government Pretrial Services Program. The role leads the day-to-day operations of the Supervision Unit, including team leadership, program oversight, data analysis, and evaluation of outcomes related to court appearance, public safety, and compliance with court-ordered conditions.The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and leader who enjoys working collaboratively and using data to drive improvements. About the Position
In this role, a few of your responsibilities include...
Supervise, assign, and evaluate Pretrial Services staff, supporting training, development, recruitment, and onboarding.
Monitor case management activities through regular case audits, timely case reviews, and compliance with court requirements and policies.
Oversee program performance by analyzing data, case outcomes, and compliance measures to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Develop and implement program improvements, policies, procedures, and evidence-based practices that support public safety, court appearance, and equitable outcomes.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws, standards, court directives, and criminal justice information security requirements.
Collaborate with Court Administration, the judiciary, justice partners, and community stakeholders to support program goals and effective pretrial services.
Prepare and present reports, facilitate training, and communicate program information to leadership, staff, and external partners.
Provide operational leadership as needed, including managing escalated client matters, maintaining a limited caseload, and overseeing the program in the Director’s absence.
About the Schedule
Work Hours:
Full-time, 40 hours per week.
May be required to work weekends, holidays, and shift work for a 24/7 operation.

About You
To be considered for this role, you must have the following:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Public Administration, Business, Finance, Industrial/Engineering Technology, or job-related field and two (2) years of job-related experience.
OR: Six (6) years of professional job-related experience can be substituted at management discretion for the required education.
OR: Related professional program/project management may substitute for the required education at management discretion.
Valid Florida driver's license within 30 days of hire.
The ideal candidate has the following knowledge, skills, and/or abilities:

Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, counseling, social or behavioral science, or a related field.
Three years of experience in Juvenile Justice, Court Administration, law enforcement, corrections, social services, counseling, or a related field.
Knowledge of criminal justice practices, courtroom procedures, applicable laws and regulations, community resources, and interviewing, counseling, and investigative techniques.
Strong communication, interviewing, and report-writing skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and work professionally with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including in challenging situations.
Subject to Passing Substance Screening: This position is subject to passing a pre-employment substance screening. An applicant who fails to pass a required drug screening test shall be disqualified from employment for a period of 5 years.
Physical Demands: Employees in this role must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 lbs.
CJIS Clearance: The successful candidate will be subject to an extensive background check(s) as part of the hiring process.
About Everything Else
Starting Pay: $64,812.80
