Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Lead Database Administrator (Non-SQL) with strong expertise in PostgreSQL, AWS RDS PostgreSQL, MongoDB, SAP Max DB, and cloud platforms (AWS & Azure). The candidate will lead database administration, modernization, migrations, performance optimization, high availability, and cloud transformation initiatives across enterprise environments. The role requires both technical leadership and operational ownership. Skills aligned with AWS RDS PostgreSQL administration, performance tuning, upgrades, backup/restore, and cloud-native database management are highly relevant.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Lead administration and support of:
PostgreSQL (On-Premises & Cloud)
AWS RDS PostgreSQL
MongoDB
SAP MaxDB
Design, implement, and manage highly available database solutions.
Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and migrations.
Manage AWS RDS instances, backups, snapshots, parameter groups, security groups, and performance tuning activities.
Implement database security, access management, encryption, and compliance controls.
Monitor database health, capacity, and performance proactively resolve issues.
Plan and execute cloud database migration projects to AWS and Azure.
Troubleshoot production incidents and perform root cause analysis.
Automate DBA operational activities using scripting (Shell, Python, PowerShell).
Collaborate with Infrastructure, Cloud, Application, and Security teams.
Drive governance, standards, documentation, and operational excellence.
Mentor junior DBAs and provide technical leadership.

- Ability to manage database security, user roles, and permissions to ensure data integrity.
- Familiarity with automation tools and scripting to streamline database maintenance tasks.
- Capability to monitor database health and optimize queries for improved system performance.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 10 years of experience in PostgreSQL Administration.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
