Finance Domestic Bank is responsible for the financial accounting and reporting of all Retail activities in ING’s home market, with a Balance Sheet of 200 billion and responsible for 40% of ING’s worldwide profit. The Financial Accounting tribe aims at finding the balance between high speed to continuously deliver on all business and finance related changes and an efficient and up-to-standard way of working to process vast data sets according to strict IFRS and ECB rules.

In Finance Information Management, which is part of Financial Accounting Tribe within ING Domestic Bank Netherlands, we enable the delivery of valuable, reliable and high-quality financial information to fulfil ING’s reporting obligations and to support decision making both for Financial Accounting and Finance Business Advice. The data landscape is at the heart of Finance and consists of three products (Finance Data, Financial Accounting Data and Management Accounting Data). The Management Accounting Data product is the product enabling Management Accounting to deliver specialised reporting.

Your responsibilities

As a Product Lead – Management Accounting Data, you will:

  • Define and continuously evolve the data product vision and roadmap to support NL Finance strategic priorities and obligations.
  • Prioritise and manage the product backlog across functional and non‑functional requirements, balancing change and stability.
  • Ensure end‑to‑end delivery and reliable operations of the product
  • Partner with Finance leadership, data management, business stakeholders, and global finance teams to deliver integrated data solutions to ensure alignment, reuse and consistency in line with NL and Group landscapes.
  • Set standards for data delivery, data models and technical data capabilities within your product, ensure compliance with relevant regulation, applicable frameworks and local/ group requirements
  • Lead and develop a group of business analysts, with a strong focus on craftsmanship, ownership, talent development and professional growth
  • Work closely with Tech and Architects to ensure solutions are scalable, robust and fit for purpose
  • Collaborate with other Product Leads to ensure alignment, reuse and consistency in line with NL and Group landscapes.
  • Guarantee the product is compliant to all the applicable frameworks (e.g. SOX, GDPD, BCBS 239, DM CS, MS-EUC)

  • Demonstrated solid project management abilities to ensure initiatives are delivered efficiently and successfully
  • Have in-depth knowledge of data delivery processes, including familiarity with end-to-end data delivery
  • Be experienced in conceptualizing and developing Data Products, along with practical involvement in data delivery
  • Be tech and AI‑savvy, anticipating and leveraging innovations in data platforms and automation.
  • Skilled in prioritization and decision-making, balancing short-term needs with long-term scalability and business value.
  • Inspire people, developing talent, building high-performing teams, and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
