Description
The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly capable professional to provide Trainer and Operational Planning Support for government, military, and commercial training programs. This role integrates hands-on instructional delivery, unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) expertise, operational planning, mission support, and field-based technical operations. The ideal candidate brings deep military operational experience, strong instructional background, extensive aviation or UAS qualifications, and proven ability to support mission execution in demanding environments.
Travel Requirements
40–60% travel, including domestic and international locations.
Ability to support field exercises, customer demonstrations, and operational deployments.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement training strategies and programs for operators, maintainers, and system administrators.
Assess training effectiveness through various metrics.
Provide on-site technical assistance and support.
Coordinate system installation, testing, and acceptance activities.
Lead operational planning activities for customer missions and exercises.
Conduct mission analysis and capability assessments.
Serve as a trusted advisor to military and government customers.
Provide operational feedback to product management and engineering teams.
Support integrated product teams and program reviews.
Contribute to schedules, risk management, issue resolution, and milestone planning.
Qualifications:
Required:
Education
Bachelor's degree in Military Science, Education, Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Master's degree preferred.
Experience
Active Secret Level Clearance preferred or Ability to obtain Secret level clearance.
10+ years of military, government, or defense industry experience.
5+ years managing training programs and instructional development.
Experience serving as a Field Service Representative or operational support lead.
Experience supporting military exercises, operational testing, or fielding activities.
Experience developing training materials and conducting classroom and field instruction.
Experience supporting complex ISR, C5ISR, UAS, Counter-UAS, communications, sensor, or defense systems preferred.
Military officer or senior NCO experience.
Joint, combatant command, or operational staff experience.
Mission planning or operational employment experience.
Training and doctrine development experience.
Operational test and evaluation experience

Operational planning processes (MDMP, JOPP)
Technical troubleshooting
Customer relationship management
Executive-level briefing skills
PMP (Project Management Professional)
Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD)

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
