Description

Your Role

  • Provide technical support for special-purpose and measurement machines, with a focus on software and control technology, at the Oberkochen site
  • Perform complex troubleshooting and root cause analyses on PLC, HMI and drive systems and develop sustainable technical solutions to ensure equipment availability
  • Restore machine operability following malfunctions or system failures, including structured analysis, targeted troubleshooting and controlled recommissioning
  • Program, optimize and maintain PLC software using Siemens STEP 7 / TIA Portal, including version and change management
  • Configure, commission and diagnose Siemens drive systems (SINAMICS, SIMOTION, SINUMERIK) as well as systems from other manufacturers
  • Advise development projects, internal specialist departments and other stakeholders on the evaluation, selection and implementation of technical solutions, with particular consideration of maintainability and long-term equipment availability
  • Conduct release and acceptance tests (FAT/SAT)
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and work instructions
  • Train employees and ensure effective knowledge transfer between development teams and equipment operators
  • Manage issues and incidents

Your Profile

  • Successfully completed degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, automation engineering or a comparable field
  • Several years of experience in the development or service of control and automation technology using Siemens STEP 7 / TIA Portal
  • Experience in programming, commissioning, parameterization and diagnostics of drive systems (Siemens SINUMERIK / SIMOTION / SINAMICS)
  • Expertise in Siemens HMI, OPC UA and SCADA
  • In-depth knowledge of troubleshooting, analyzing and optimizing complex PLC applications
  • Experience in programming and commissioning B&R or Beckhoff control systems would be an advantage
  • Confident in working with electrical schematics, fieldbus systems (PROFINET, PROFIBUS and Industrial Ethernet) as well as machine safety and safety systems
  • Comprehensive understanding of mechatronic systems combined with strong integration and commissioning expertise
  • Practical experience with agile working methods, particularly backlogs and sprints
  • Strong communication skills as well as expertise in knowledge development and training technical users
  • Intercultural competence, strong teamwork skills and assertiveness
  • Independent, solution-oriented and customer-focused approach to work
  • Good written and spoken German and English
  • Willingness to travel occasionally
