The key purpose is to own the Africa Zone PSP (Procurement, Sustainability & Profitability) technology portfolio - translating global strategy into zone delivery, ensuring BAU stability, and driving demand, governance, and value realisation across markets.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Strategy & Portfolio Ownership
- Own the PSP portfolio and procurement roadmap, aligning system capabilities to business, compliance, and global strategy.
- Accountable for zone execution of global PSP tech strategy (Connect, Clarity, ORO).
- Lead demand intake, prioritization, and backlog governance across CAPEX & OPEX, aligned to value cases and roadmaps.
Delivery
- Lead end-to-end delivery of procurement tech changes — from impact assessment through testing, deployment, and hyper care.
- Coordinate UAT and business sign-off, ensuring defects are resolved before go-live.
- Bridge business and technology, translating requirements into functional, technical, integration, security, and reporting specs.
BAU & Operational Stability
- Ensure stability of PSP platforms (SAP ECC/SRM, PACT, MDM, VIM) with clear ownership of incidents and defects.
- Oversee integration performance across finance, payment, supplier, contract, and reporting platforms.
- Support country-specific process, tax/legal, vendor, and master data requirements across the zone.
Governance, Risk & Controls
- Oversee PSP Tech governance — cybersecurity posture, network segmentation, standards, and remediation.
- Ensure changes remain compliant with policy, segregation of duties, internal controls, and audit requirements.
- Drive master data governance (vendor, cost centre, GL, WBS, approval hierarchy, workflow dependencies).
Value, Data & Adoption
- Drive adoption, benefits realization, and KPI performance across platforms.
- Lead and embed data & analytics capabilities.
- Lead continuous improvement to simplify journeys, cut defects, and scale reusable solutions across countries.
Vendor & Financial Management
- Partner with vendors and AMS teams on service quality, SLAs, RCA, and sustainable support.
- Budget and manage PSP OPEX run-costs, including global cross-charges.
- Support the 1YP CAPEX process through business case validation and roadmap alignment.
Stakeholder & Global Interface
- Represent Africa Zone in global Tech forums, SteerCo, and transformation initiatives.
- Provide leadership-ready visibility via status updates, risk/issue logs, and benefits tracking.
Key Attributes and Competencies:
- Strong grasp of Africa's PSP tech systems (SAP ECC/SRM, VIM, MDM, PACT, SysPro, FlowCentric).
- Translates global strategy into zone implementation plans.
- Deep experience in governance, prioritization, and portfolio/backlog management.
- Clear, structured communication with leadership and global teams.
- Bias for standardization, scalability, and sustainability; calm and decisive under operational pressure.
- Spans multiple African countries with periodic site engagement.
- Dual-speed environment: transformation delivery and BAU support.
- Strong exposure to capital programs, vendor management, and value-creation targets.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Demonstrated experience with PSP / procurement systems (SAP ECC/SRM, VIM, MDM).
- Experience managing multi-country or multi-site portfolios.
- Proven stakeholder management across local, zone, and global teams.
