Description
Help shape the future of international payments across ING's global banking network.
International payment systems are undergoing one of the largest transformations in modern banking. From SWIFT MT/MX messaging and ISO 20022 adoption to SEPA payment schemes and cross-border payment modernization, financial institutions are redefining how money moves across markets.
At ING Hubs Türkiye, you'll play a key role in helping shape, design, test, and deliver payment solutions supporting ING's international banking ecosystem. Working closely with stakeholders across multiple countries and teams, you'll help turn complex business requirements into scalable, reliable technology solutions that power critical payment flows across ING.
Role Summary
As a Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical requirements, ensuring successful delivery of international payment solutions.
You will work across SWIFT payments, SEPA Credit Transfer processes, and broader cross-border payment flows while collaborating with architects, product teams, engineers, and business stakeholders to support payment transformation initiatives across ING.
This role combines deep payments-domain expertise with strong stakeholder management and solution delivery capabilities, offering an opportunity to influence both business and technical decisions within a highly international environment.
Work Model
At ING Hubs Türkiye, flexibility is more than a benefit — it's part of how we work.
Our hybrid way of working is designed to balance collaboration, innovation, and personal flexibility. Team members typically come together at our Vadistanbul office for two days per week during three weeks of the month, while one week each month is fully remote.
We also offer additional flexibility during the summer period, with remote working opportunities throughout August, allowing colleagues to spend more time where they feel most productive while staying connected to their teams.
As part of a globally distributed organization, you'll collaborate with colleagues across multiple ING locations while contributing to solutions that create impact across the bank.
About You
We hire smart people like you for your potential. Our biggest expectation is that you'll stay curious. Keep learning. Take on responsibility. In return, we'll back you to develop into an even more awesome version of yourself.
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years of professional experience
- Strong knowledge of SWIFT payment systems and messaging standards
- Hands-on experience with SEPA Credit Transfer (SCT) processes and broader SEPA payment scheme mechanics
- Experience working with cross-border and international payment flows
- Experience collaborating with stakeholders to gather business needs and translate them into technical requirements
- Experience facilitating alignment across Enterprise Architects, Domain Architects, Solution Architects, Product Owners, Customer Journey Experts, DevOps Engineers, and Business Analysts
- Experience creating detailed implementation roadmaps from both business and technology perspectives
- Experience challenging solution designs during discovery and MVP definition phases
- Experience supporting integration testing and post-implementation validation activities
- Experience managing risks, dependencies, and issues throughout a product lifecycle
- Excellent English communication skills
Discovery & Solution Ownership
You don't simply document requirements.
You actively challenge assumptions, validate approaches, and contribute to better outcomes. For example, when a new international payment corridor is proposed, you're comfortable evaluating whether a new messaging flow or mapping is genuinely required or whether existing capabilities can be leveraged to accelerate delivery while maintaining long-term sustainability.
We're especially interested in candidates who have:
- Worked within a bank's internal IT organization on payment systems or payment integration initiatives
- Participated in international payment transformation programs
- Worked for banking technology providers, payment vendors, or system integrators
- Experience delivering solutions involving SWIFT, SEPA, ISO 20022, or cross-border payment ecosystems
How to Succeed
- Proficient in all phases of the software development lifecycle and solution delivery
- Experienced in financial institutions, payment systems, banking technology, or payment transformation programs
- Hold a Bachelor's or Postgraduate degree
- Familiar with Agile methodologies and product-driven delivery environments
- Comfortable collaborating across multiple teams and disciplines
- Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills
- Able to navigate ambiguity and drive alignment between business and IT stakeholders
- Proactive, curious, and solution-oriented
- Willing to learn, challenge assumptions, coach others, and continuously improve
Risk & Governance Mindset
You understand the importance of working within highly regulated financial environments. You can identify potential risks, dependencies, and delivery challenges while balancing customer experience, operational requirements, payment scheme obligations, and regulatory expectations.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements
- Translate business needs into clear and actionable technical requirements
- Facilitate alignment between business and technical stakeholders
- Support solution discovery activities and challenge assumptions when appropriate
- Create implementation roadmaps and delivery plans
- Drive MVP-focused thinking and prioritization
- Support integration testing and post-implementation validation activities
- Identify, track, and mitigate risks across the product lifecycle
- Collaborate across squads to improve processes and delivery outcomes
- Contribute to successful delivery of international payment and financial messaging initiatives
Equal Opportunity
Don't meet every single requirement? Don't let that hold you back. Studies show many talented professionals hesitate to apply unless they meet every qualification. If you're excited about this role and believe you can make an impact, we'd love to hear from you.
