About The Role
The Inventory Operations Manager collaborates with the Store Manager to uphold and reinforce the values and attitudes of the team members they lead to provide exceptional customer service, control all inbound and outbound product movement, support the store sales team, drive our metrics, and achieve our business goals. The Inventory Operations manager leads a team of Inventory Operations Shopkeepers to ensure both the consignor and customer receives the best experience possible, motivates the team to achieve operational efficiency and excellence, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to maximize results. This role requires strategic and logistical thinking, shipping expertise, and operational forecasting.What You Get To Do Every Day

Pick, pack, and ship customer orders following quality, packing and shipping standards while supporting the team in maintaining shipping KPI’s
Contribute to successful company growth and securing of our assets through implementation of TRR’s Loss Prevention policies & procedures
Securing Inventory Control guardrails to ensure product safety and protect the consignor experience
Manage inventory movement by ensuring the accurate & timely processing of price changes, transfers & return-to-consignors, receiving and POS transactions
Support visual team with product placement and outfitting that is reflective of trend, reinforces TRR’s brand messaging, and inspires the customer
Expertly use all core systems & technologies including but not limited to POS, UPS Worldship, Slack, Mac & Google Suite applications
Manage the team in leading product presentation (e.g., put items back in place, restock or add depleted items to the floor from inventory, destock or relocate items) according to TRR’s standards
Support the IO team in maintaining clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms
Support and model excellent customer service by exhibiting a positive attitude and enthusiasm toward the job and company to both internal and external customers in all forms of communication
Exhibit mastery of store operational procedures; ability to teach and assist all team members to perform daily store functions
Manage all cycle and inventory counts as needed, partnering with Asset Protection for investigative needs to support a swift reconciliation
Lead clear communication with Warehouse based store ops teams, store logistics and transport, and UPS to support streamlined workflow
Support the success of the store by performing other functions or tasks as needed or directed
What You Bring To The Role
Minimum Requirements:
3+ years of experience working in an operationally intensive retail business in a managerial position
Comfortability with performing routine employee touch-bases and performance reviews to support training & development
Confidence and ability to strategically manage a busy back of house
Ability to lead team through quick pivots in order to best support the business
Excellent analytical, critical thinking, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills
Able to multitask and prioritize competing demands
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and build multiple cross functional team relationships
Ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the business which may include holidays, evenings and weekends
Passion for luxury fashion, sustainability, and The RealReal's mission
Ability to anticipate store needs in terms of logistics, supplies, and technology
