Position Summary:
As a Tool and Parts Attendant, you will be the tool program coordinator responsible for inventory and upkeep of tool boxes, lockers, wallboards and other containers; reporting, ordering and issuing replacement tools and maintain paper and electronic inventories. You will manage the inventory of calibrated and special tools, complete monthly inventories, turn-in, delivery and ordering in accordance with prescribed procedures; the Tool and Parts attendant will also build tool containers and boxes to required design.
What you will be doing:
Here you’ll be involved in the following:
- Responsible of the hazardous material and waste program ensuring proper disposal of generated waste, inventory and issuance of hazardous material on hand and maintaining accurate records and logs of disposal and material on hand
- Performing weekly checks of inventory and stock replenishment to support the Production shop.
- Perform daily issue and maintain stocking levels of PPE and consumable materials such as rags, wire, brushes, tape and packaging material to support production operations.
- When required, may assist warehouse personnel to maintain, store, stack or palletize materials in accordance with the storage plan of the site, issue material to customers, remove material from storage and prepare for shipment
Who we're looking for:
Basic Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 1+ years’ experience working in a warehouse, stock room environment or Maintenance shop floor
- Previous experience with hazardous material and waste handling
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite products
- Ability to work varying shifts and overtime required and also, available for Service Support on a 24-hour basis, including weekends and holidays
- In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be eligible to obtain and maintain security clearance, which requires USA Citizenship
Preferred:
- Experience and familiarity with the US Navy tool control program
- Ability to obtain a Forklift license
- NALCOMIS experience preferred
- Experience of working with tools
- Awareness of safety procedures
- Experience driving a forklift
Mental & Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, hold and carry up to 50 pounds unaided
