What We're Looking For

We're looking for a strategic marketer, storyteller, and strategist who can turn ideas into impactful campaigns that strengthen the Intermountain Health brand. The Brand Strategy and Marketing Specialist supports Intermountain Health's enterprise brand strategy through campaign planning, brand governance, naming architecture, and strategic consulting. This role partners with stakeholders across marketing, communications, digital, operations, and clinic teams to ensure brand decisions are consumer-centered, strategically aligned, and consistent across the organization.

The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment, can manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and is equally comfortable contributing to strategy discussions and rolling up their sleeves to execute.





What Success Looks Like in This Role

The person in this position will:

Manage multiple marketing and branding projects simultaneously while keeping stakeholders informed and projects on schedule.
Help develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns that support organizational priorities, service lines, and community initiatives.
Create compelling messaging, creative briefs, presentations, and content that align with brand standards and audience needs.
Build strong relationships with internal partners and serve as a trusted marketing consultant for assigned projects.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and adopt new tools and technologies, including AI-enabled marketing solutions.ealthcare to various audiences.
  • The following states are currently paused for sourcing new candidates or for new relocation requests for current caregivers:

    • California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia, Vermont, Washington.

    Preferred candidates with:

    • Has 3–5+ years of experience in marketing, advertising, brand strategy, or related field
    • Project Management Experience
    • Is an exceptional writer who can adapt messaging for different audiences, channels, and objectives.
    • Marketing campaign experience
    • Strong understanding of brand standards

    Scope

    This is a system-wide position for the assigned marketing and communication functions or portfolio and is not confined to a single Intermountain facility, business, or service line. The incumbent works closely and collaboratively with other MAC professionals within the Intermountain Healthcare system, helping Intermountain achieve its brand objectives and fulfill its Mission, Vision, and Values.

    Job Essentials

    Marketing Communications: Plans, researches, writes, edits, proof reads, produces, and distributes various communications (e.g., print, digital) for both internal and external audiences. Achieves desired results on time and under budget. Creates or finds artwork.
    Multi-media production: Conceptualizes, writes and edits print, and presents online and video communications.
    Follows writing and graphic design principles to produce materials using a variety of software programs. Develops and implements consistent standards for areas of responsibility to ensure system branding guidelines are followed with high quality and professionalism.
    Evaluates and measures communications, keeps pace with technology, uses creativity, and maintains technical accuracy to ensure quality and effectiveness of campaigns and messages.
    Performs technical writing and editing to promote the organization's products, services, and image as assigned across multiple mediums (e.g., web, social).
    Works with facility and functional team leaders to execute strategic planning activities for the department and for individual projects.
    Media relations: Designs, develops, and executes appropriate media relations strategies. Proactively develops professional relationships with external media. Responds to media inquiries in a timely manner.
    Engages in assigned community relations activities. Facilitates the development of partnerships for focused local community and hospital/facility community relations and fund-raising initiatives. Organizes and executes community relations plans and programs.
    Creates branded content (e.g., written, visual, video) as it pertains to coordinated campaigns.
    Plans and executes details for organizational events.
    Serves as an important contributor to assigned team or sub-function within MAC and utilizes competencies in multiple areas (e.g., building customer loyalty, coaching, communication, contributing to team success, decision making, healing commitments and values, managing work).


    Minimum Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, English, journalism, business, or another related college major requiring strong writing skills. Education must be obtained through an accredited institution. Degree will be verified.

    Excellent writing experience.

    Excellent interpersonal relations and communication skills.
    - and -
    Experience with copy editing and proof reading with strong attention to detail.
    - and -
    Proficient in digital communications, applicable design programs, social media platforms, and other communication tools.

    Experience coordinating multiple projects under strict deadlines.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Three years of experience in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, advertising, graphic design, videography, or event planning.

    Healthcare experience.
     

    Interact with others requiring the individual in this role to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information.

    Operate computers, telephones, office equipment, and manipulate paper requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.

    See and read computer monitors and documents.
    - and -
    Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.

    The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. 

    $31.01 - $48.84
