Personal Insurance Account Manager
Job Summary
A Personal Insurance Account Manager is needed to manage a portfolio of personal insurance accounts, cultivate strong client relationships, and provide customized insurance solutions. This role requires a candidate who is organized, detail-oriented, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary contact for personal insurance clients, addressing inquiries and resolving concerns promptly and effectively.
- Evaluate client needs and recommend tailored insurance policies aligned with their goals and circumstances.
- Handle renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and policy changes efficiently.
- Educate clients on coverage options, policy limits, and exclusions to ensure informed decision-making.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships through exceptional customer service and consistent communication.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for cross-selling and upselling additional products.
- Collaborate with insurance carriers to negotiate terms, premiums, and other policy features on behalf of clients.
- Maintain accurate and organized client records while ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations.
- Stay informed about industry trends, products, and regulations to enhance client support and maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Experience as an Account Manager in personal insurance or a related field.
- Valid insurance license(s) as required by local/state regulations or willingness to obtain licensure within an established timeframe.
- Knowledge of personal insurance products, such as auto, homeowner’s, renter’s, and related policies.
- Strong interpersonal and client service skills, with the ability to build rapport and earn trust.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with a focus on detail.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, particularly in time-sensitive situations.
- Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
- Familiarity with insurance management systems and related technologies is advantageous.
