Radiation Oncology Unaccredited Registrar – Albury

Full-Time | 12-Month Fixed Term Contract | Albury, NSW

Are you a junior doctor interested in developing your experience in Radiation Oncology and exploring a future career in the specialty?

GenesisCare is looking for a suitably qualified junior medical practitioner to join our experienced Radiation Oncology team in Albury on a 12-month fixed term contract.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain broad clinical exposure within a large and dynamic regional cancer centre, working as part of a multidisciplinary team with the support and supervision of experienced Consultant Radiation Oncologists.

Previous experience or exposure to Radiation Oncology would be highly regarded, along with a genuine interest in oncology, a strong work ethic and a patient-centred approach. The role would particularly suit a junior doctor looking to further develop their oncology experience or considering Radiation Oncology as a future career pathway.

What you'll be doing

As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will:

• Provide medical care to Radiation Oncology inpatients and outpatients
• Work closely with Consultant Radiation Oncologists and the broader multidisciplinary team
• Gain broad clinical exposure across the assessment, treatment and ongoing management of patients undergoing radiation therapy
• Develop your knowledge and experience in Radiation Oncology within a supportive clinical environment
• Contribute to high-quality, patient-centred cancer care across our service

What we're looking for

To be considered for this opportunity, you will need:

• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• A minimum of two years' postgraduate medical experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• A genuine commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centred care
• Previous Radiation Oncology or oncology experience would be highly regarded
• An interest in developing a career in Radiation Oncology
• Compliance with relevant credentialing requirements, including CPD, professional indemnity insurance, immunisation and Basic Life Support certification
