Description

Who We Are:
Our story began in 2011 when a group of office workers at a major logistics company in Chicago had a lunch problem. Nearby options were limited and the team was spending too much time and money traveling to their favorite restaurants. They had an idea: bring Chicago’s local restaurant culture inside the office to sell food.  It was an immediate hit. When they discovered people from other companies sneaking into their office, they knew they were on to something.
Fooda pioneered the concept of rotating popup restaurants inside offices. Today, we operate in 60 cities with over 100 million meals served and continue to grow rapidly.
Powered by technology and a network of 1500+ restaurants, we feed hungry people at work through a platform of unique food programs located within companies, office buildings, hospitals, schools, distribution centers, and more. At Fooda, we believe a workplace food program should be something employees love and look forward to every day.

Position Overview

Fooda is seeking a hands-on Program Manager to lead onsite food service operations in the Memphis/Southaven area. This person will manage a team of approximately 6–10 Event Coordinators and oversee scheduling, payroll, restaurant partner relationships, service execution, and issue resolution across multiple nearby sites.

The Program Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for onsite operations, ensuring that team members and restaurant partners are prepared to deliver a reliable, high-quality experience. This highly visible role requires strong leadership, sound judgment, and the ability to remain organized and responsive in a busy, rapidly changing environment.

This is a full-time, onsite position with a fixed schedule five days per week. The role primarily supports nighttime operations and includes weekend on-call responsibilities. Candidates must be comfortable working at active construction sites, traveling between nearby locations, and spending extended periods outdoors.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Hire, train, schedule, coach, and manage a team of approximately 6–10 Event Coordinators.

  • Review timekeeping information and manage payroll processes accurately and on time.

  • Create and adjust employee schedules based on business volume, site activity, and staffing needs.

  • Serve as the primary onsite contact for the client, employees, restaurant partners, and internal Fooda teams.

  • Build and maintain strong restaurant partner relationships, including coordinating schedules, communicating site requirements, and addressing performance concerns.

  • Respond to service issues and escalations with urgency, professionalism, and sound judgment.

  • Provide weekend on-call support and respond to urgent staffing or operational issues when necessary.

  • Monitor service quality, attendance, staffing levels, and overall operational performance.

  • Ensure employees and restaurant partners follow Fooda standards, client requirements, and all applicable site safety and security procedures.

  • Communicate operational updates, risks, and staffing needs clearly to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Track key performance measures and use the results to identify trends and improve operations.

  • Manage multiple priorities and make real-time decisions in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

  • Partner with Fooda’s Sales, Restaurant Partnerships, and Market Operations teams to support client satisfaction and account growth.

  • Develop and improve processes that increase efficiency, consistency, and service quality.

  • Support account-level financial processes, including payroll, invoice, receivable, and payable issue resolution.

  • Travel between assigned Memphis/Southaven-area sites, which are approximately 10 minutes apart.

Who You Are

  • You have 4–6 years of experience in operations, hospitality, food service, event management, account management, or a similar service-focused environment.

  • You have experience directly supervising employees, including hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and performance management.

  • You are available to work a fixed, primarily nighttime schedule onsite five days per week.

  • You are willing and able to provide weekend on-call coverage.

  • You are comfortable working onsite in a high-volume, fast-paced construction environment.

  • You remain calm and solutions-focused when handling service disruptions, staffing challenges, and escalations.

  • You are highly organized and able to manage multiple locations, schedules, partners, and deadlines.

  • You build strong relationships with clients, employees, restaurant partners, and cross-functional teams.

  • You communicate clearly and professionally with frontline employees and senior stakeholders.

  • You are comfortable using Excel, scheduling and payroll systems, dashboards, and other internal tools.

  • You use operational data and feedback to solve problems and improve performance.

  • You are dependable, proactive, and willing to step in wherever needed to support successful service delivery.

Schedule, Travel, and Physical Requirements
