Description
The Associate, FX Service Operations is responsible for ensuring the stable and efficient operation of LSEG’s FX trading platforms across the global trading lifecycle. The role focuses on proactive monitoring, pre-market readiness, and early identification of issues to ensure platforms are fully operational ahead of each regional market open.
Key responsibilities include conducting comprehensive system validations, identifying and proactively flagging issues, and providing clear, accurate, and timely incident reporting and communication to relevant technology and support teams for resolution. The role also involves coordinating improvements to Operational Support checks, including updates, standardisation, and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and consistency. The Associate works closely with Technology, Product, and Client Services teams to ensure effective stakeholder communication and to support continuous improvements in system performance, resilience, and overall service quality.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform a range of proactive and confirmatory checks across multiple markets, systems, and tools to ensure platforms are healthy and fully prepared for the region open
- Maintain, enhance, and expand existing operational checks to ensure continued effectiveness and coverage
- Develop, review, and maintain processes, procedures, documentation, RACIs, and escalation frameworks
- Take ownership of issues identified through Operational Support checks, ensuring timely escalation and coordination with relevant support teams and management
- Provide clear, accurate, and timely updates to stakeholders on system health at defined checkpoints
- Drive the introduction of new positive affirmation checks on a regular basis to strengthen operational assurance
- Produce clear and accurate procedures for newly introduced checks and processes
- Coordinate with automation teams to onboard relevant checks and deliver knowledge transfer sessions to team members
- Support proactive customer alert management and event logging to ensure consistent and predictable service quality
- Produce weekly reports, dashboards, and metrics to monitor Operational Support performance and drive continuous improvement
- Identify opportunities for improvement and raise change requests to enhance processes and systems
- Demonstrate a foundational understanding of RPA and MIS concepts to support automation and reporting initiatives
- Continuously identify opportunities to automate checks and streamline operational processes
- Support management with ad hoc tasks and requests as required
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to expand team scope and enhance BAU processes
- Deliver work in line with priorities set by the Manager and Assistant Manager
- Support onboarding and training of new joiners, ensuring knowledge transfer and team readiness
- Act as a role model within the team, demonstrating professionalism, accountability, and best practices
- Demonstrate flexibility to support a 24/5 operating model aligned to global market hours
Skills & Experience
- Experience in application support, operations, or technical client service within financial services
- Basic understanding of financial markets
- Proven ability to perform proactive monitoring, issue identification, and stakeholder communication
- Knowledge of incident, problem, and escalation processes
- Ability to work in fast-paced, time-sensitive environments with high attention to detail
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- ITSM tools and advanced Excel
- Basic understanding of automation / RPA concepts (advantageous)
- Strong team player with a proactive, “can-do” attitude
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
