What We Want
The Training Specialist, under general supervision, is responsible for developing, designing and delivering classroom and individual training programs. This position is responsible for assisting in administering and maintaining the UES Training Program.

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two years of teaching and/or training experience.
Required Licenses and Certifications:
Must have a Class “C” vehicle operator’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
Required Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Ability to read and comprehend written and oral instructions in English and communicate effectively.
Good working knowledge and ability to use Excel.
Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
Good presentation skills.
Responsibilities
Reporting- Collects, compiles and reports results of training data and ensures that each staff member is current with their training plan. Communicates data and reports as needed. Ensures that training documentation is updated in UtiliSkills.
Identify- Assists UES Supervisors and Managers in identifying training needs of employees. Researches and works to find solutions to training needs which include both internal and external resources.
Review- Develops, reviews and evaluates training materials. Works with UES Supervisors and Managers to ensure that each employee has a training and development plan documented. Works with Supervisors and Managers to ensure that, where applicable, career ladder matrices are developed for each UES position. These duties may require traveling by driving a University vehicle to various UES locations both on and off campus and across the surrounding area.
Training- Assists UES employees with tutoring, helping them to develop test taking skills. Proctors exams. Assists with hands-on testing observations. Assists with scenario training for Production Services. These duties may require traveling by driving a University vehicle to various UES locations both on and off campus and across the surrounding area.
Departmental Objectives & Safety- Contributes to a safe work environment by reporting accidents and unsafe working conditions, uses proper personal protective equipment, follows safety procedures outlined in Material Safety Data Sheets, and participates in safety training.
