JOB SUMMARY This position will be an essential part of the payroll function. The key responsibilities will be related to preparation, reporting and payment of the payroll process and Tax, with a strong focus on internal customer service levels. This role will support the payroll team with payroll processing globally. This position will operate during 11:30am IST to 8:30pm IST. Focus on Payroll processes for UK, Ireland and other intl. locations of EMEA and APAC regions Lead, train, and provide work direction and guidance to assigned staff; coordinate employee work assignments and review work for accuracy, completeness and compliance with established standards, requirements, and procedures; provide input regarding staff evaluations Experience on team mentoring and payroll projects Participate in complex payroll support functions; calculate, review, verify and post a variety of complex payroll data such as gross pay, retirement, contract adjustments, retroactive payments, hours, tax information and leave; balance, reconcile and submit payrolls for check processing; input of new hires and enrolment/separation applications for retirees and active employees in appropriate retirement system. Provide technical training and assistance to staff concerning payroll activities and related functions Assist with managing the payroll service provider relationship to ensure all aspects of the service level agreements are met Tax withholding, voluntary deductions and employee benefits Partner with HR to insure accurate employee data maintenance globally Process/Coordinate payroll tax payments with the payroll service provider/local tax authorities Manage special situations like maternity or STD pay Ensure receipt of all supporting documents with related to Full & Final Settlement and preparation of the same. Payment and reconciliation of bonus payments, calculation payment and reconciliation of tax Preparation and reconciliation of payment summaries Ensure prompt maintenance of staff records at all times including archiving and filing Liaise with HR staff appointments, terminations, remuneration, conditions of service and other relevant matters. Serve as subject matter expert for all payroll-related systems Perform payroll systems monitoring and auditing as required Optimize payroll processes with automation & standardization Assist with end-to-end system testing for version upgrades and legislative updates Assist with internal and external payroll audits QUALIFICATION Qualifications: 5-8 years of payroll related work experience Experience with payroll processing for the US/IR region along with Intl. regions Excellent Verbal communication skills Strong conceptual understanding and experience with Payroll Accounting Any ERP experience would be a plus Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Accounting or Finance Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is a must Ability to embrace technology and change Strong people and customer service skills, advocate positive working relationships among internal and external customers Well-organized, extreme attention to detail and a self-directed individual Company Overview: UKG is the Workforce Operating Platform that puts workforce understanding to work.
