D shift 6p-6a

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Operates five HCV vats and monitors cheese production.  Uses daily schedules and makes necessary adjustments to specific recipes as needed.
  • Monitors milk standardization and makes adjustments to recipe specifications.
  • Checks set firmness for each vat and makes adjustments in the time of cut and rennet usage.                                                            
  • Monitors milk, cream, condensed skim, starter, rennet, and color inventories.                                                                                                      
  • Obtains and stores milk and whey samples for lab testing.                                                                                                                                
  • Records ingredient amounts used in each vat on make schedule on excel and SAP.
  • Communicates product usage to pasteurizer personnel and communicates with EFV Operators.
  • Communicates with whey plant operators if problems occur that would affect whey operations.
  • Completes proper make-sheet documentation regarding product usage.
  • Conducts milk and pre-draw pH’s and documents accordingly.
  • Cleans, foams, and polishes the HCV’s and equipment.  Monitors the CIP to ensure cleanliness. 
  • Sets up HCV vats after CIP is completed. 
  • Follows all Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures.   
  • Demonstrates initiative and strong interpersonal, communication, and team skills.
  • Demonstrates safe and quality conscious work habits and follows all company policies and procedures.
  • Focuses on Saputo’s vision and goals and considers the best interest of Saputo and its employees, customers, and patrons while performing job duties.
  • Responsible for understanding and complying with the Current Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety guidelines to ensure that quality food products are manufactured in a sanitary production environment and delivered with superior protection to our customers and consumers.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six to twelve months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of the organization.                                                                                   

Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to perform these operations using weight measurement.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Starting pay $26.76
