Description

CelLink is scaling advanced manufacturing in Georgetown, and we’re looking for a hands-on Production Manager to lead production across assigned areas and shifts.

You’ll be responsible for turning production requirements into execution, ensuring we have the people, materials, equipment, processes, and accountability needed to hit our safety, quality, delivery, cost, yield, and throughput goals.

This is a highly visible manufacturing leadership role. You’ll spend significant time on the floor, developing Supervisors and frontline teams, identifying constraints, and working cross-functionally to solve production and equipment issues in real time.

We’re looking for someone who can lead people and understand the technology behind the operation. You’ll develop a strong working knowledge of our automated equipment, controls, tooling, processes, and product requirements so you can recognize abnormalities, direct effective troubleshooting, and help stabilize and scale production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day production across assigned areas and shifts, ensuring staffing, equipment readiness, materials, shift handoffs, and recovery plans support customer commitments.
  • Own performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, yield, throughput, productivity, and workforce objectives.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Production Supervisors and frontline leaders, building accountability and capability in performance management, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead production ramp and readiness for new and sustaining programs, including hiring, staffing, training, qualification, capacity, bottleneck identification, and stabilization.
  • Develop strong technical knowledge of assigned manufacturing processes, automated equipment, controls, tooling, and process parameters to recognize abnormalities and guide troubleshooting and escalation.
  • Monitor OEE, downtime, recurring faults, cycle time, changeovers, and other production losses and use data to prioritize improvements.
  • Partner with Engineering, Maintenance, Automation & Controls, Quality, Supply Chain, Planning, EHS, and HR to resolve constraints, support equipment installation/commissioning, and successfully ramp new processes and products.
  • Build technical capability within Production around equipment operation, process control, abnormality recognition, first-response troubleshooting, escalation, and standard work.
  • Drive continuous improvement through Lean, 5S, visual management, structured problem-solving, and data-driven improvements to throughput, yield, efficiency, cycle time, equipment availability, scrap, and rework.
  • Partner with HR and production leadership to strengthen engagement, retention, communication, accountability, and team performance.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and compliant manufacturing environment.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Technology, Operations Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent technical education and significant hands-on experience considered.

  • Experience leading production in a high-volume, automated, or technically complex manufacturing environment.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of automated equipment, manufacturing processes, controls, tooling, process performance, and equipment troubleshooting.
  • Proven ability to drive safety, quality, delivery, cost, staffing, yield, throughput, and employee performance.

  • Strong cross-functional leadership skills and experience partnering with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, Automation & Controls, and other technical teams.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing, standard work, 5S, root-cause analysis, and structured problem-solving.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in automotive, electronics, battery, semiconductor, high-speed assembly, or other advanced manufacturing.
  • Experience supporting 24/7 operations.
  • Experience with NPI, production ramp-up, automated equipment installation/commissioning, process qualification, stabilization, or capacity expansion.
