40Summary:
The Postdoctoral Research Fellow II is a member of the Research team responsible for the acquisition, rigorous analysis, and presentation of clinical and research data through the use of statistical, algorithmic, mining, and visualization techniques. This individual designs experiments, collects data, tests hypotheses, builds models, conducts data analysis, and prepares scientific manuscripts and grants. In addition to advanced analytic skills, this individual is proficient at programming specialized software tools for the analysis of large datasets of clinical and research data. This individual also provides technical, programming and statistical consultation, guidance, and expert advice to students, research assistants, and Postdoctoral Research Fellows I. The Postdoctoral Research Fellow II is a resource for technical, programming, and statistical activities, maintaining an extensive working knowledge of methodological or conceptual developments in fields such as neuroscience, biostatistics, pharmacology, life sciences, and social sciences.
Experience:
2+ years in a postdoctoral position
Demonstrated expertise in: data collection, data processing, programming, and statistical methods; collection and analysis of complex clinical and research data; identifying the underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts; of programming languages; scientific productivity through at least two publications as first author in scientific journals indexed in PubMed
Education:
Doctorate degree in a related field
