Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Educator EMS Paramedic, you will be responsible for the development, coordination, and teaching of EMS courses and continuing education programs. You will ensure that all curriculum meets established state and national Department of Transportation standards.
Every day, you will incorporate adult learning principles to provide both formal and informal classroom lectures. Additionally, you will facilitate practical field experiences, lead hands-on skills training, and conduct protocol reviews to enhance the quality of prehospital care.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate a commitment to clinical excellence and instructional efficacy. You will be expected to foster an engaging learning environment that prepares students to perform at the highest levels of the EMS field.
Research, develop, coordinate, and conduct innovative EMS training programs using adult learning principles. Present didactic and practical skills material in formal and informal settings, ensuring all content remains evidence-based and aligned with current quality indicators.

Collect, synthesize, and analyze performance data to drive system-wide improvements. Incorporate continuous quality improvement (CQI) principles to monitor prehospital activities—retrospectively, concurrently, and prospectively—and implement necessary changes to enhance patient care.
Assist in the development of annual course schedules and clinical rotations. Maintain accurate training records, including remediation sessions, attendance, and instructor evaluations, while reviewing and updating department policies to ensure program validity.
Serve as a primary liaison between EMS agencies and hospital service lines. Mediate interdisciplinary interactions to foster collaboration, reconcile potential conflicts, and educate personnel on shared responsibilities to ensure the best patient outcomes.
Act as a knowledgeable and reliable resource for EMS topics at local, state, and national levels. Provide timely customer service follow-ups, perform professional investigations, and assist the EMS Director with physician assessments and strategic educational initiatives.
