What you'll be doing

Join CIBC's Chief Administrative Office as a Project Coordinator Co-op role and have a real impact in making our clients’ ambitions a reality! The Program Delivery team helps drive enterprise change by supporting large-scale transformation initiatives across the bank. As a Project Coordinator Co-op, you'll support project managers as teams transition from corporate office locations into modern workplace environments and adapt to new ways of working. You'll contribute to a range of transformation activities, including workplace planning, technology change, digitization, scheduling, and project coordination. You'll help maintain project documentation, build knowledge repositories, and support work packages across multiple initiatives. You'll also assist with analysis and reporting that helps the team stay organized, informed, and on track. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in project delivery while learning how cross-functional transformation programs are managed in a complex organization.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview.

Important information

  • We may ask you to complete an attribute-based assessment and other skills tests (such as simulation, coding, French proficiency, MS Office). Our goal for the application process is to get to know more about you, all that you have to offer, and give you the opportunity to learn more about us.

  • You must be currently enrolled in post-secondary education and returning to full-time studies to be eligible. However, you do not need to be in a registered Co-Op program to be considered for a role.

  • Please include your resume (no more than 2 pages), a cover letter (no more than 1 page), and your most recent unofficial transcript with your application. These should all be uploaded into the Resume section of the application as one pdf document

  • Term Length: This is a four month opportunity

How you'll succeed

  • Project coordination - Support project managers with day-to-day coordination of work packages, project activities, timelines, and documentation across multiple transformation initiatives.

  • Analysis and reporting - Contribute to project analysis by gathering information, reviewing progress, and helping prepare updates, trackers, and status materials for stakeholders.

  • Scheduling support - Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules to help ensure milestones, dependencies, and deliverables are clearly tracked.

  • Knowledge management - Help build and organize a library of project materials, templates, and documentation to support consistency and knowledge sharing across the team.

  • Transformation support - Participate in initiatives related to workplace change, technology transformation, digitization, and evolving ways of working by providing administrative and coordination support.

Who you are

  • You give meaning to data. You enjoy investigating complex problems and making sense of information. You communicate detailed information in a meaningful way.

  • You know that details matter. You notice things that others don't. Your critical thinking skills help to inform your decision making.

  • You can demonstrate experience in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. It’s an asset if you have exposure to project coordination tools, documentation management, or schedule tracking.

  • Values matter to you. You bring your real self to work, and you live our values - trust, teamwork, and accountability.
