Job Summary
Shambaugh & Son is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Power Tool Repair Technician to join our team in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This position is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and tracking a wide variety of construction power tools and equipment used by field personnel throughout the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical components, and a commitment to keeping tools safe, reliable, and ready for operation.
In this role, you will perform preventative maintenance, identify equipment issues, complete repairs, manage repair records, order replacement parts, and help maintain an organized toolroom inventory. You will work closely with field teams, vendors, and warehouse personnel to ensure tools and equipment remain in peak operating condition and available when needed. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on mechanical work, problem-solving, and supporting construction operations in a fast-paced environment. The position builds on the current toolroom responsibilities of tool inventory, issuing equipment, and performing maintenance and repairs while placing a greater emphasis on power tool repair expertise.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Initiating orders for materials and supplies, receiving shipments, and verifying inventory.
- Organizing and storing items in the warehouse or toolroom and issuing them as needed.
- Maintaining accurate records of inventory levels, including using computer systems.
- Loading and unloading trucks, using forklifts, and moving materials around the warehouse.
- Performing basic repairs and maintenance on tools and equipment.
- Processing paperwork related to inventory and logistics.
- Other duties as required
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a warehouse or toolroom preferred.
- Must operate and maintain company equipment in a safe manner at all times
- Must be able to multi-task.
- Forklift Certification is a plus.
- Good communication and organizational skill. Ability to communicate effectively with other employees and customers.
- Must be able to keep the warehouse or toolroom organized and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required.
