VP, Finance North America Specialty Risk

Overview

This role will be assisting the executive leadership to manage the North America Specialty Risk (NASR) business and will be an integral part of the NASR team.  It will be the FP&A business partner for the NASR and will perform analysis of historical results, project future financial expectations, help manage costs, and improve profitability. Explore opportunities to enhance meaningful business metrics and analysis to facilitate better business decision making.

Responsibilities

• Work with North America SR leadership to establish budgets/plans
• Develop standard management reports and KPI to support North America SR leadership and senior management
• Review actual/forecasted results compared to budgets and provide insights/analysis
• Develop input to executive FP&A presentations
• Work with the FP&A expense lead to help manage costs within North America SR
• Work with the FP&A transformation lead to drive projects through completion
• Keeps current with market trends and demands
• Performs other functionally related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Business Finance, Economics or Risk Management
• Understanding of GAAP and Statutory accounting
• 10 years of experience in the property/casualty industry
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and interpretive skills.
• Ability to effectively multi-task and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Due to the nature of this role, modest travel, including overnight travel, is required.

Preferred: 

• MBA
• Specialty Risk modelling experience
• Former financial business partnering for a Specialty Risk business

The expected salary range for this role is $165,300 - $250,000 annually.
