Description
Analyzes, researches and develops structural engineering specifications involving metals, non-metallic or composite structural materials for product design, or operation of product to include structures, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronics, power plant, armament, heating and ventilating, equipment and maintenance designs. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. You Will Bring These Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Engineering or relevant technical field; Principal Engineer Structural: 5 years of relevant experience with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhD Sr. Principal Engineer Structural: 8 years of relevant experience with Bachelors in Science; 6 Years with Masters; 4 Year with PhD Required for both levels Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with investigation date within 6 years Proficient in programming and use of MATLAB (or equivalent) for analysis and data manipulation Experience running modal transient analysis in Nastran (or equivalent) Experience with launch vehicle, spacecraft, and rocket engine vibroacoustics analysis Experience with time domain, frequency domain, and/or random vibration analysis Proficiency with ABAQUS, FEMAP, and ANSYS Exposure to structural test applications Experience with seismic analysis (ASCE 7) Exposure to missiles program requirements & with propulsion Navigate through NX 3D models and CPLM TeamCenter CPLM experience
