Description
A well-established and growing organisation based in the York area is currently recruiting for a Management Accountant to join their finance team on a permanent, full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant or Assistant Management Accountant looking to take the next step within a stable and supportive business environment.
On offer is a competitive salary of up to £50,000 (depending on experience), alongside free on-site parking and a full-time, office-based role within a well-structured finance team.
As the Management Accountant, your role will include (but will not be limited to):
- Preparing monthly management accounts with detailed variance analysis and commentary
- Managing accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
- Producing monthly KPI reports and financial performance analysis
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
- Monitoring cash flow and assisting with cash flow forecasting
- Business partnering with operational managers to support performance and cost control
- Supporting year-end processes and liaising with external auditors
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement within the finance function
To be successful in this Management Accountant position, you should ideally have:
- Part-qualified or qualified (ACCA / CIMA / ACA) or be qualified by experience
- Previous experience in a Management Accountant or similar role
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
- Confident communication skills with the ability to explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders
- Strong Excel skills and experience using finance systems
- The ability to manage your own workload and meet reporting deadlines
This role is office based in York and is easily commutable from Selby, Tadcaster, Malton, Wetherby and surrounding areas, with free on-site parking available.
