We are looking for a talented Video Editor to assemble recorded footage into a finished project that matches the BAYZ’s vision and is suitable for broadcasting. As a film and video editor, you should be able to bring sight and sound together in order to tell a cohesive story. ResponsibilitiesManipulate and edit film pieces in a way that is invisible to the audienceTake a brief to grasp the content team’s needs and specificationsManage content and use your language skills and technical video editing ability to edit and produce captivating social video content;Create clips from archived content for alternative lengths and distribution;Edit in both a supervised and unsupervised capacity;Maintain and organize backups of all current and ongoing projects;Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuityTrim footage segments and put together the sequence of the filmInput music, dialogues, graphics and effectsCreate rough and final cutsEnsure logical sequencing and smooth runningConsult with stakeholders from production to post-production processContinuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency. Requirements Proven work experience as a video editorSolid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects and Final Cut)Advanced English;Familiarity of optimization and best-practices for specs on social channels like: YouTube, Facebook, Instagram as well Broadcast;Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolioThorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuityCreative mind and storytelling skillsPlus: Familiarity with special effects, 3D and compositing
