Litigation Attorney

Description

Coughlin & Gerhart, LLP is seeking a full-time attorney admitted in New York State with at least three years of experience to join our Litigation Practice Group in our Binghamton office.

Coughlin & Gerhart proudly dates back to the 1890s and has grown to include nine offices in New York and Pennsylvania. Requirements

• Current New York Bar admission.
• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• 3+ years of litigation experience  preferred.
• Strong desire to further legal skills. 

Responsibilities

• Draft legal documents, including motions, discovery and pleadings.
• Conduct depositions, appear for oral arguments and attend client meetings.
• Negotiate settlements/advise clients.
• Perform legal research, draft Memorandum of Law.
• Oversee consultations with potential clients.
• Handle hearings, arbitrations and trials.
