Fencer

Are you a seasoned fencer looking to join an established and respected fencing and gates company? James White Fencing & Gates Ltd is looking for a Fencer to join our committed team of staff. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing fencing and gates on commercial and domestic premises. We are a family-run business based in Alresford, in the Hampshire countryside and have a supportive, skilled and professional team. As one of the South's leading fencing contractors, we supply and install all types of fencing projects, from domestic and agricultural, to work for wildlife trusts, councils, schools, highways and commercial clients. We’re looking for an individual with a passion for fencing, good attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills. You must be self-motivated and be able to work proficiently and safely with minimal supervision. Responsibilities: • Installing fencing and gates • Repairing damaged fencing and gates • Ensuring all work meets safety standards Knowledge of the following fencing construction methods:Post and railAgricultural stock fencingDeer nettingOverlap panel fencingClose board fencingSteel palisade fencingWeldmesh panel systemsVertical bar railingsTraditional chain link and weld meshRequirements: • High level of physical fitness and strength • Proven experience as a fencer (2 years + preferable) • Good knowledge of fencing installation and service • Excellent attention to detail • Good communication and customer service skills • Ability to work independently and within a team • A valid driver’s licence • CSCS card an advantage. What we can offer you? Full-time employed position.Company van, tools, PPE and uniform provided.Salary: £33,800.00 per year (£130 Day Rate)Pay negotiable depending on experience plus piece work bonus scheme. If you believe you have the qualifications and qualities to be an excellent fencer for our team, please send us your CV today!
