What You'll Do
You'll work directly alongside our litigation team, playing a critical role in managing cases from intake through resolution. Your day-to-day will include:
- Propounding and responding to discovery — drafting, serving, and tracking written discovery with precision
- Managing litigation deadlines — deep knowledge of the rules of civil procedure, with zero tolerance for missed dates
- Filing documents — e-filing and physical filing with courts, ensuring every submission is accurate and timely
- Calendaring and organization — owning case calendars, deadline trackers, and docketing systems so nothing falls through the cracks
- Collaborating closely with the litigation team — working side-by-side with attorneys and paralegals to push cases forward
- Managing case data in platforms like Filevine, CasePeer, or Litify — keeping every matter clean and current
- Noticing Deposition
- Prior experience as a litigation assistant, legal assistant, or paralegal in a civil litigation environment
- Solid working knowledge of California Rules of Civil Procedure (federal experience a plus)
- Hands-on experience propounding and tracking written discovery
- Proficiency with at least one legal case management platform: Filevine, CasePeer, or Litify
- Exceptional organizational skills — you're the person who always knows what's due next
- A proactive, team-first mindset and the drive to do the work right, every time
- Spanish literacy a plus
