Regional Purchaser

Location: Aricestii Rahtivani, Ploiești, Romania
You will report to:  Regional Purchasing Manager Latin Europe and Romania
Employment Type: Full-time

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Regional Purchaser to join our procurement team. You will be working on a key position responsible for managing purchasing of goods and services at the regional level, supporting the company and its customers while driving cost optimization and supply security.

This is the role

• Source and develop suppliers to meet ROCKWOOL operational and customer requirements

• Contract and negotiate with suppliers, ensuring favorable commercial and quality terms

• Manage suppliers and resolve quality issues

• Plan and create Purchase Orders using SAP systems

• Monitor order confirmations and communicate changes with internal stakeholders and suppliers

• Track outstanding orders to ensure on-time delivery and supply security

• Manage supplier, and article master data, responsible for supplier selection and contract negotiation activities

• Analyze supply data and performance metrics; report issues to management

• Support ZERO downtime objectives for manufacturing operations (Group Sourcing and Procurement)

• Manage supplier performance including KPIs, claims, and contract lifecycle

• Collaborate with Category Managers to deploy and align strategy with operational requirements, supporting them on local sourcing strategies and market analysis

• Monitor local market trends and supplier landscape; share insights with management

• Identify and assess contract risk areas; advise on mitigation strategies

• Engage in cross-functional and regional project teams as assigned

This is who you are

• Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)

• Minimum 2-3 years of procurement/purchasing experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment

• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP experience preferred)

• Strong negotiation and contract management skills

• Excellent analytical and data management abilities

• Knowledge of procurement governance, compliance, and P2P processes

• Fluent in Romanian and English (written and spoken)

• Ability to work in a multilingual, collaborative environment

• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

• Valid driver's license (occasional travel to supplier sites)

• It would be considered as a plus:  experience in raw material procurement and sourcing (significant advantage), familiarity with manufacturing processes and supply chain optimization, knowledge of quality management systems and compliance requirements, experience in cost analysis and savings tracking, knowledge of financial modeling tools, experience with multiple procurement systems and tools
