Job Description
As a Security Officer Access Authorization Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and help maintain a secure environment for personnel, visitors, and operations. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly, and support incident response while representing Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in the job state.

- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a chemical and petrochemical facility by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Monitor and control access at entry points by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor arrivals, issuing passes as authorized, and directing individuals according to site requirements.
- Respond to access-control concerns, incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as required.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, facility areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.
- Maintain accurate logs, reports, and other required documentation related to access activity, incidents, and patrol observations.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security-related supervisor/manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.
- Be able to lift up to 20 pounds, preferred.
- At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
