Supporting Governance and Sustainable Growth Across the Commerce & Marketing Company (C&M)

Operation Management Department serves as a key business partner to the Commerce & Marketing Company (C&M), which includes major Rakuten businesses such as Rakuten Ichiba and Rakuten Travel. Our mission is to support sustainable growth and enhance corporate value by strengthening governance, risk management, compliance, legal affairs, and other critical control functions across the organization.

Within this framework, the Governance & Control Section plays an important role in helping the business identify, mitigate, and prevent operational and compliance risks. Through proactive monitoring, audits, investigations, and preventive initiatives, we help ensure that C&M businesses operate safely, responsibly, and effectively.

Position Details

In this position, you will work with internal and external partners to promote a wide range of tasks, with a main focus on investigation and audit operations.

・Monitoring of business operations and expenses both domestically and internationally
・Improvement and prevention of internal misconduct
・Implementation of compliance training
・Response to and management of customer (B2B) harassment
・Management of disputes and litigation cases

・Experience in various types of negotiations at the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department

・Experience in human resources at a major Japanese company
・Experience managing training programs at a major foreign-affiliated company

Mandatory Qualifications:
・Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Desired Qualifications:

・Practical experience in accounting monitoring or auditing

・Practical experience in an accounting or finance department
