Leidos’ High Fidelity Simulation Business Area designs and delivers cutting-edge system-of-systems solutions that power world-class simulation, training, and analysis products for the U.S. Navy.
In this role, based at a U.S. Government facility in Bethesda, MD, you will work with state-of-the-art technologies to develop advanced sonar tactical decision aids (TDAs) that directly support the Fleet. You’ll be part of a high-performing team whose mission-critical work shapes the Navy’s tactical edge—making a tangible impact on national security.

What You’ll Work On
Develop and enhance Tactical Signature Guidance (TSG) systems, including sonar TDAs across multiple production code baselines.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex software challenges while contributing innovative solutions.
Learn and apply new programming languages and technologies, with mentorship and support from experienced teammates.
Occasionally support hardware system configuration and build-out, gaining exposure to full system integration.

Primary Responsibilities
Work collaboratively in an integrated team environment supporting a large-scale program.
Own and deliver software solutions in Java, React, C++, and other modern languages.
Learn and apply new technologies (e.g., Angular, Rust, Scala) to meet evolving needs.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues with efficient solutions.
Adapt quickly to shifting priorities and support urgent requests when needed.
Communicate clearly with teammates, stakeholders, and leadership.
Travel occasionally to Manassas, VA for integration and team collaboration.
Basic Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited educational institution in Engineering, Mathematics, Physical Sciences, or Computer Science or other degree that provides software development expertise equivalent to standard computer science curriculum
Experience: Around 6 months of hands-on experience working in complex software environments
Clearance: Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a U.S. security clearance.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $57,850.00 - $104,575.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
