As a Armed Security Guard - Patrol Operations in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to developing situations. - Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government facility.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and potential hazards.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials as assigned, maintain awareness of restricted areas, and report access-control concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following applicable site procedures and legal requirements.
- Document patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities through clear and accurate reports, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and emergency responders as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
