The role, at a glance:
Biamp is looking for a curious, craft-focused UX/UI Designer to join our product team based in Beaverton, OR. As a part of the Product team, you’ll help shape the user experience of Biamp’s software products used by AV professionals and enterprise customers around the world. You’ll work closely with product management, firmware and software engineers, and fellow designers to translate complex workflows into intuitive, polished interfaces — and contribute to the Biamp design system along the way.
How you’ll contribute:
Design user interface for Biamp’s software products across desktop and web platforms
Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to clearly communicate design intent
Assist with design reviews and internal feedback sessions to help iteratively improve product experiences
Collaborate with product managers and engineers to deliver well-specified, buildable designs
Contribute new assets, components, and documentation to the Biamp design system
Work iteratively based on user feedback, data, and stakeholder input
Present and clearly articulate design decisions to cross-functional teams

A successful candidate should have:
Bachelor's degree in design, Human-Computer Interaction, or equivalent experience
1–2 years of experience in UX/UI or product design, with a portfolio demonstrating strong visual and interaction design skills
Proficiency in Figma for design and prototyping
Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and practices
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment alongside engineering teams
Ability to design for multiple platforms (desktop applications, web, and mobile)
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present and defend design decisions
Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality work in a fast-paced environment
Some nice-to-haves:
Experience designing for professional AV, enterprise software, or hardware-connected applications
Familiarity with design systems and contributing to shared component libraries, experience with AI design tools (such as Claude Design) a plus
Basic understanding of HTML/CSS and front-end development constraints
Experience with user research methods and usability testing
Experience with Unified Communications or room control systems
